Hi

With cleversafe, how to know when accesser service or slicestor service stopped unexpectedly ?

Can we manage these services with a snmp manager like nagios or patrol ?

I konw it's possible to know when the accesser computer or a slicestor computer stopped but I don't know if it's possible with the services!

thanks

We actually use snmp in our commercial product to monitor the running processes on an appliance.  However a snmp server is not part of the open source release.  Most linux distributions come with one already installed.  However, you might need to tweak its configuration to get it to output the list of running processes.  Then you just have to configure your console (nagios, etc) to watch that process

and alert if it is missing.

Hope this helps!
