Community Guidelines
Following are guidelines to make your participation at Cleversafe.org the most efficient for both you and the rest of the community.
Forum Guidelines
- You can read forums without registering.
- Posting to a forum requires registration.
Bug Guidelines
Currently, you will enter bugs into a web-based form. We will review your submissions, check for duplicates, and enter them into our bug tracking system.
To ensure we collectively use our bug tracking tool effectively, please follow these guidelines:
Verify it is a Bug
-
Make sure you can consistently reproduce the bug.
-
Check the Release News page to make sure it isn't a larger problem that is already known.
-
If you are not sure it is a bug, check the forums, and post to the forums first.
Documenting the Bug
Providing enough information on your bug is crucial to ensuring it will get fixed.
-
Describe the problem.
-
Include a simple unit test so that the bug is reproducible.
-
Were you able to isolate the problem? How?
Avoid Bug Duplication
- Search the database prior to adding a bug to avoid duplication.
- Test the latest version before reporting a bug.
Set Priority and Severity
- You can set both the Priority and Severity for a bug when you enter the bug into the system.
- When the bug is reviewed by Cleversafe.org staff and contributors, the Priority and Severity may be changed.
- If the Priority and Severity of a bug you have entered is changed, please do not change it again as they are set to help developers to schedule their work.
